Our client, a respected organization in Malta, is currently seeking a Junior Accountant to join their team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management.
  • Assist in payroll processing, tax filings, and compliance with local financial regulations.
  • Monitor and process invoices, receipts, and payments accurately and timely.
  • Participate in audits and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
  • Support senior accountants and finance managers in various financial tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain organization of financial files and digital records.
  • Perform any other accounting-related duties as required by business needs.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Up to 2 years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles preferred.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Maltese is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
