Our client merges traditional financial services with innovative, tech-driven solutions. They are seeking a committed IT Officer responsible for ensuring seamless IT system operations, supporting end-users with technical challenges, and implementing cloud-based solutions to elevate efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely troubleshooting and resolution of user-reported technical issues.
  • Support end-user onboarding and offboarding, including account provisioning and access management.
  • Deliver second-level technical support for cloud-based applications and services used company-wide.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to monitor and manage the performance, security, and availability of cloud infrastructure.
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of cloud environments for various projects.
  • Implement and uphold best practices for cloud security, data protection, and disaster recovery.
  • Administer Atlassian Jira and Confluence, optimizing them for project management, team collaboration, and documentation.
  • Manage Microsoft products such as Purview, Intune, and Exchange, ensuring correct configuration, compliance, and integration with enterprise systems.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Requirements
  • High professional ethics, integrity, and discretion with sensitive information.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities for efficiently resolving technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and aptitude for cross-functional teamwork.
  • Solid understanding of network fundamentals and protocols.
  • Good grasp of cloud architectures, services, and best practices.
  • Experience with scripting languages for automation and cloud resource management.
  • Familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies.
  • Fluency in both Maltese & English languages
Education & Experience
  • Experience: Ideally 2–5 years in IT support, with a strong emphasis on cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Azure, and/or Oracle Cloud).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Cloud computing certifications—such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator—are a plus.
  • Industry Exposure: Prior experience in a credit institution or broader financial services sector is considered an asset.
