We are seeking a cross-functional R&D Automation Engineer to join our team.
This is a technically versatile position combining software development, automation engineering, and systems integration.
You will collaborate closely with the Head of AI on research-driven automation initiatives, support the IT team with technical integrations, and enable cross-platform innovation by developing efficient, scalable, and secure automation solutions.
The ideal candidate is both a hands-on developer and an innovator who thrives in multidisciplinary environments.
What you'll be doing:
Research and Development
- Collaborate with the Head of AI to design, build, and prototype automation frameworks that integrate with AI models and internal tools.
- Lead POC (Proof of Concept) projects focused on streamlining operations, adopting new technologies, and validating innovative automation opportunities.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies in AI, DevOps, and system integrations to enhance business efficiency and technical performance.
- Maintain documentation of R&D outcomes, contributing to internal knowledge sharing and technical playbooks.
Automation and Development
- Develop automation scripts, tools, and APIs that connect systems across business units, using Python, , or similar high-level languages.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, build deployment, and workflow orchestration.
- Implement data flow automation between AI tools, internal systems, and IT infrastructure.
- Integrate automation bots and event-based triggers to improve process speed, accuracy, and scalability.
- Ensure solutions meet modern software engineering principles including modularity, maintainability, and security-by-design.
- Systems Integration and Technical Operations
- Partner with the IT team to integrate APIs, automation agents, and connectors between internal systems, monitoring platforms, and AI applications.
- Work on advanced configuration and optimization of cloud services and containerized environments (Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar).
- Embed observability and monitoring into automation workflows, ensuring reliability and performance transparency.
- Support incident resolution by developing diagnostic automation tools for faster root cause identification.
Collaboration and Delivery
- Collaborate cross-functionally with AI, IT, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless alignment between automation initiatives and operational requirements.
- Translate experimental R&D findings into production-ready solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and documentation.
- Contribute to internal technical leadership by advising on tooling, automation design, and architectural best practices.
- Advocate for a culture of continuous innovation, testing, and measurable improvement.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical fields.
- 3+ years of experience in software or automation development.
- Strong coding skills in languages such as Python, Go, or JavaScript, with an understanding of AI-driven automation frameworks.
- Experience integrating with cloud APIs, DevOps pipelines, or internal business systems.
- Familiarity with AI/ML workflows, RESTful APIs, and data pipeline orchestration.
- Strong understanding of GitOps, containerization, and CI/CD best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving mindset, with a balance between research curiosity and practical delivery.
- Previous experience in R&D or innovation-focused teams is a plus.
