ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Junior Petroleum Inspector, you will receive training to perform essential tasks on cargo ships, including volume and temperature measurements, sampling, calculations, documentation, and reporting. These activities ensure customers receive accurate, independent, and complete assessments of the quality and quantity of their materials.
While previous experience in the field is preferred, we are open to candidates without prior experience in the field and are excited to offer comprehensive training for the right individuals, including cadets who wish to develop their skills in the industry.
For motivated individuals, we offer ad hoc training to equip you with the necessary skills to independently carry out the following responsibilities:
- Perform sampling, gauging, and inventory of shore tanks/vessels.
- Communicate and coordinate with terminal, transport, and company personnel to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor the availability of supplies for the above processes and report any needs to the coordinators.
- Conduct routine equipment calibration, verification, and function checks.
- Organize and coordinate tasks to ensure services are completed accurately, promptly, and in line with quality standards.
- Verify and document results, ensuring accuracy and traceability in both printed and electronic records.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- Nautical Surveyor Diploma (or similar).
- Previous nautical experience will be considered a plus.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work irregular hours and be available on-call.
- Valid, clean Driver's License.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop skills through training.
