Financial Controller

Industry: Pharmaceuticals

Location: Malta

Basis: Full time

Remuneration: Salary + Benefits

Main Duties:

• Liaise with banks regarding funds, tenders, and proposals
• Assist MD with resource allocation for financial operations
• Assist MD in evaluating business opportunities, including pricing, investments, M&A, and financing
• Oversee banking relationships, proposals and cash flow needs
• Prepare monthly management accounts
• Translate operational understanding into financial insights
• Present monthly management reports to senior management
• Manage monthly payroll and regulatory obligations
• Handle VAT, income tax returns, payments, and refunds
• Coordinate financial statement preparation, collaborate with auditors
• Monitor accounts payable, stock, and debtors to optimize cash flow
• Develop and maintain annual budgets, with reforecasts
• Ensure timely delivery of financial information for all Group entities
• Address additional financial requirements for Group operations

What skills do you need:

• A university degree in Accounting or ACCA qualification
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in the MS Office package, especially with Excel skills
• Strategically identifies opportunities and challenges to support long-term goals
• Analyzes effectively, solves problems adeptly, and makes sound decisions

Eligibility to work in the EU is a must
