Become an Electric Power Specialist

Main Responsibilities:

• Inspect and diagnose air conditioning systems in buses, identify issues, and implement necessary repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventive checks on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively.
• Recharge AC systems with refrigerants and verify that pressure levels are within the required parameters.
• Ensure that bus diagnostics and repairs meet safety, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and assistance to semi-skilled workers as needed.
• Collaborate closely with other mechanics, panel beaters, and staff members to achieve common goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to established policies and procedures for hazardous waste management.
• Complete job cards, work orders, or any other relevant documentation accurately and promptly.
• Perform other duties related to the job position as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• A minimum of Ordinary Level education.
• An equivalent qualification in electrical engineering, such as City & Guilds, or at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of working experience in air conditioning maintenance for buses or trucks.
• Advanced knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques.
• Specialized technical knowledge of industrial vehicles.
• Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English, Maltese, or Spanish.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment for electrical tasks.
• Strong problem-solving, compliance, and complex diagnostic skills.

Eligibility Requirements: The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the EU.
