Mallard Co. Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Chief Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team on a full time basis.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Maintenance & Technician staff

• Be part of the Senior Management Team and report directly into the GM

• Ensure that maintenance, both ongoing and preventive are conducted within established timeframes and quality

• Create a strategy for maintenance and ensure its implementation

• Ensure that inventory is always up to date and well-stocked

• Ensure that all facility-related operations/machinery are planned and scheduled in a timely manner

• Ensure that relationships with 3rd party suppliers are optimal

• Promote continuous improvement exercises to ensure cost savings are from internal and external contracts and from internal processes

• Any other ad-hoc duties related with the position

Requirements

• Have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

• Experience in a Hotel would be considered an asset

• Be assertive yet approachable

• Have experience managing a team

• Have experience in a similar role preferably in hotels

• Have good number skills
