A leading group of companies in Malta is seeking a skilled HR Officer – Payroll to join their team. This role involves handling all payroll-related matters, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of payroll system data, and providing support to staff and management with payroll queries.
Responsibilities:- Compute and process salaries, wages, and pensions, including additions and deductions, overtime payments, allowances, and National Insurance contributions.
- Maintain accurate records in the Human Resources Information System and the payroll system.
- Update and close Time and Attendance schedules before each payroll, ensuring employees are set up on devices to punch in and supporting departments as necessary.
- Prepare reports, data, and research as required, ensuring accuracy and carrying out checking procedures when necessary.
- Process information related to outsourcing services.
- Support the end-of-year process for IRD submissions to CFR.
- Support the payroll auditing function.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure the security of documents to prevent unauthorized access.
- Comfortable working with numbers and Excel.
- Previous payroll experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent writing skills in English, with Maltese proficiency preferred.
- Effective communication skills at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in ICT.
